  • No, you do not need previous experience to try our groups. Our groups are community-based, which means everyone is allowed to try the group. There are no auditions.

  • Yes, you can join! Many of our members don’t read music, and we teach all songs during rehearsals. We also provide practice videos to help you learn your part by ear. Additionally, we introduce basic music-reading skills in rehearsal, so over time, you’ll develop a foundational understanding of reading music.

  • Membership in the group is 32.50€ per month, which comes to around 8€ per rehearsal. This fee helps cover rehearsal and performance venue rentals, staff compensation, and music licensing costs. You’re invited to attend two trial rehearsals before deciding to join officially, and membership can be canceled at any time. Members also enjoy complimentary access to quarterly webinars, hosted by industry professionals, that explore a wide range of choir-related topics, from basic to advanced concepts.

  • Find a choir near you and send us a message! We will make sure you feel ready for your trial rehearsal!

  • If you feel comfortable having basic conversations in English, then you will have no problem in our choir.

  • We perform popular “Top-40” hits. You can see examples of our performing here.

  • Choosing music involves balancing several factors, including finding arrangements that have a widespread, universal appeal with both choir members and audiences, while also navigating publication costs, licensing fees, and funding requirements.

    As a community-driven choir, we prioritize strengthening connection and inclusivity over striving for perfection. Our song choices are intentionally inclusive in terms of both style and difficulty in order to be within reach for as many choir members as possible.

  • To ensure the safety of our choir community, we don’t publicly share exact rehearsal locations. However, all rehearsal venues are centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation. Before your first day, we’ll provide you with detailed directions to make your journey smooth and straightforward.

  • Yes! Everybody is welcome as long as you are comfortable in an English-Speaking environment.

  • 16 years old. IEC is an adult community-based group.

  • Our instructors can help you determine this on your first day.

  • Yes. The choir is community-based, not performance-based, which means that showing up when you can and having fun is the most important thing!

  • Yes. The choir is community-based, not performance-based which means you can come and go as it suits you!

  • You’re free to cancel at any time—just stop your monthly payment and inform your home choir instructor that you won’t be continuing. If you decide to rejoin later, you’ll be placed on the waiting list and can start again as soon as a spot opens up.

  • We rehearse once a week. The day and time depend on the city.

  • No, the group is in no way affiliated with any religion. We rehearse and perform often in churches because they have large spaces with a piano and they are often very supportive of our goal of starting communities.

  • Yes, all group members have access to our IEC platform which has the option of scheduling a visit to another choir for a small fee. If you are traveling and want to join a choir in another city, they will be singing the same music as your home choir. Just check the rehearsal plan to see which songs exactly!
