Our choir instructors are skilled freelance singers who find a stable yet flexible opportunity with us to support their musical careers. Each instructor completes specialized training in choral conducting, rehearsal management, and group leadership, followed by hands-on experience. They are assigned a ‘home choir’ for weekly sessions, building strong connections with their group. Through our IEC app, instructors can also take on additional shifts, cover for fellow instructors, or request coverage when they need time for performances or other commitments. This setup provides valuable support for freelance musicians seeking reliable work without the constraints of a traditional, year-round schedule.

Yes! The majority of our instructors have never lead a choir before, but feel confident to do so after our short training program.
We’re looking for instructors with a music degree and professional-level vocal skills who can confidently lead and inspire a choir of up to 50 singers. You should be able to teach simple pop harmonies to amateur singers with clarity and enthusiasm. A patient, sociable personality is key to building meaningful connections and engaging effectively with our community-focused choir.

A fluent level of English is essential. You should feel confident leading rehearsals entirely in English and managing group dynamics with ease. It’s important that you can communicate effectively in English across all settings, without any limitations.
